Hyundai is the only car brand that offers a full fleet of green vehicles: Fully electric, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and hydrogen. Their ambition is to be the greenest car brand in the world by 2025. Electric mobility is necessary for this, and that's why they chose us as a leading sustainability partner.
How we work together
A home charging station for Hyundai customers
Anyone who buys or leases a KONA or IONIQ Electric can request a home charging station with a Vattenfall InCharge charging card from a Hyundai dealer. The charging station will be installed on location for carefree electric driving and charging.
We only supply home charging points up to 22kW (3-phase). This allows users to get the most out of their electric car. In addition, the charging point is suitable for future Hyundai models with even higher charging speeds.
"We have the ambition to install about 1,000 charging points for Hyundai in 2020," says Pieter van Ommeren, director of Vattenfall InCharge.
Together leading the energy and mobility transition
Together with Hyundai, we want to play a leading role in the energy and mobility transition. We do this by not only supplying contemporary, efficient and affordable installations, but also by setting up new services in the field of smart charging (dynamic load balancing and focusing on 100% green energy). We are currently working on a proposition to supply energy back to the grid in the future.
We were looking for a reliable and professional supplier who thinks along, has a vision for the future, and is willing to invest in infrastructure.

The choice for Vattenfall InCharge
Berend Jan Hoekman, General Manager of Hyundai Motor Nederland explains: "We were looking for a reliable and professional supplier who thinks along, has a vision for the future and is willing to invest in infrastructure. That is how we ended up at Vattenfall. Together we can completely unburdening customers who are going to drive electric, so that electric driving becomes just as simple as driving a petrol and diesel car.”
Hyundai: A valuable partner
Hyundai is an important partner for us as we move towards a future with fossil-free transport. For example, the car brand will invest 87 billion euros in new electric models and mobility solutions over the next 5 years. "By entering into a partnership with one of the largest suppliers of electric vehicles in the Netherlands, we can make a real impact on the energy transition together," says Pieter van Ommeren, director of Vattenfall InCharge.
